Cookie policy
Which cookies this website sets, and why you see no cookie banner.
Starting point
This website sets only cookies that are strictly necessary to make the site work. There are no tracking cookies, no advertising cookies and no third-party cookies or scripts. We do not measure your behaviour and do not build profiles.
Which cookies we use
In practice this amounts to no more than the following functional items:
- A preference for the language you selected (Dutch or English), so you do not have to repeat that choice on every visit.
- A temporary token that protects the contact form against misuse by third parties. This token disappears as soon as you close your browser.
Why there is no cookie banner
Cookie law (Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, implementing the ePrivacy Directive) requires consent for placing cookies, with an exemption for cookies that are strictly necessary to deliver a service you requested. Because we place only such cookies and collect no data for our own analysis or for third parties, consent is not required.
A banner would therefore present you with a choice that does not exist. We think it is more honest to explain here what happens than to have you dismiss a dialogue.
Managing or deleting cookies
You can inspect, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If you block the functional cookies the website remains readable; your language choice may then not be remembered.
Changes
Should we ever wish to place cookies that are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this policy before those cookies are set.
